I rediscovered my love for photography in 2005 after borrowing a friend’s DSLR on a trip to Charleston and photographed my first wedding two years later. I continued shooting part-time while maintaining a retail management career until the roles switched in 2012 and left retail completely in 2014 and never looked back. I had found what I was meant to do. I loved people, I loved to love, and being able to capture the two simultaneously made my heart full.

One of the first things you should know about me. I shoot completely and thoroughly with my heart. I shoot intimately and sensually. I love the texture, shadows, natural smiles, and quiet unsuspecting moments.

I booked my very own first boudoir session in 2017 with Cheyenne Gil as a “celebration” of myself and how far I had come rebuilding myself after years of living a life that wasn’t favorable to my well-being. While waiting for my session date to arrive, Cheyenne released seats to her workshop and I was curious. Could this be something I could do? I had over the years photographed boudoir sessions for a few brides and really enjoyed them but I wasn’t sure this was the right fit for me so I thought a workshop would be the perfect way to see if I wanted to add this to my wedding and lifestyle portrait business.

I walked away from the workshop curious but with so much more.. a realization that I personally had a TON of work to do before I could offer this to others. I was not in a good body/mind place with myself and the workshop and then my session really turned me into a tailspin. Not because the images weren’t amazing (photo credit: Cheyenne Gil Studios ). They were beautiful but I wasn’t in the right headspace to view them. At the workshop, I connected with a fellow photographer Sarah Gill of Sarah Ann Photography and while following her feed on Facebook she posted about “Body Image Boot Camp’ with Teri Hofford and I was reading this splashy website with a beautiful fat babe in a pool on a flamingo float living her best life and I was halfway into the website and I was SOLD. This is what I needed.

Meeting Teri, experiencing Body Image Boot Camp CHANGED MY LIFE and I walked away with 9 new sisters and knew in my bones this was my mission:

Helping people recognize their own worth, beauty, and uniqueness through the power of photography and being photographed.

I would truly love to be the one to help you make peace with your body.

So let’s set up a time to chat!
